Harhan Mestarit, an evening of true crime and mentalism, takes over Järvenpää!
Okay, this is the one we've been waiting for! I'm thrilled to finally announce that Harhan Mestarit is coming to Järvenpää on 21 April. Best of all, I get to perform in the biggest auditorium at Studio 123 in Järvenpää. Although my previous shows have sold out, this time there should be room for everyone who wants to come. Tickets are on sale NOW!
Järvenpää has been my home town longer than anywhere else, so it's especially great to finally perform on home ground. And a show that delves into criminal history is a perfect fit for Järvenpää – after all, among other things, the town is known for a serial killer who roamed the area and was never caught...
What on earth is true crime mentalism?
In this completely unique show, I've combined true crime and mentalism in a way that, as far as I know, nobody else in the world has done. We tested the limits at a small premiere in Helsinki in January, but now it's time to raise the stakes on a bigger stage.
We look at some of history's most chilling cases, and through mentalism I demonstrate live how the human mind can be manipulated and steered. And what better place for it than Järvenpää? Besides being my home town, it is sadly also known for a serial killer who was never caught. Evil is sometimes closer than we think, and that gives this evening its own spine-chilling edge...
Thank you, Miia Karhu – Järvenpää's powerhouse!
Evenings like this aren't built alone, and finding the right partner is everything. What makes this especially great is working with Miia Karhu, who runs Studio 123. Miia is a true powerhouse in Järvenpää! When she was looking for a new kind of programme to run alongside the films at her theatre and heard about this concept, it was an instant yes.
Miia isn't one of those people who sit twiddling their thumbs or drowning in endless spreadsheets. When she gets excited, things happen – and fast! It's been a joy to discover people with this kind of attitude here in Sibelius's home town. A big thank you to Miia for her trust and for taking the leap!
See you in Järvenpää – if you dare!
Ticket sales are now open. Be quick, because the early bird price of €15.90 is only valid until 22 March, after which tickets cost €19.90.
